Your vote counts, blockchain protects it

In Bolivia, trust in electoral processes has been historically questioned. To strengthen democracy and ensure transparent elections in 2025, an innovative citizen proposal emerges: an electoral control application based on blockchain.

🗳️ What is the objective?

The main purpose of this tool is to digitally safeguard electoral records in an unalterable and accessible manner, thus allowing citizen verification and public audit. Using technologies such as blockchain, artificial intelligence, and sovereign digital identity, we seek to ensure that every Bolivian“s vote counts and is not manipulated.

This solution will allow generating verifiable evidence that can have legal value in case of irregularities. We want to ensure that whoever the majority chooses wins.

🔧 How does it work?

📱 Mobile Application

The app will allow registered citizens to:

  • Create a Sovereign Digital Identity (validating their identity card, protected and encrypted).
  • Photograph and upload electoral records from their polling stations.
  • An artificial intelligence system will extract the data from the record and automatically select the most legible image.
  • The citizen will electronically sign the record to certify its veracity.
  • The record will be converted into an unalterable NFT and will be stored on the blockchain.
  • Other users will also be able to verify and certify these records, generating a cross-validation system.

The app uses Polygon ID, a technology already implemented in international projects, to guarantee the security of identity and digital signature.

🌐 Public Web Platform

From the website, you will be able to:

  • Consult digitized records by region.
  • View the citizen vote count.
  • Access real-time electoral statistics.
  • Verify the status of each record: whether it was validated by multiple users or flagged as false.
  • Preserve the anonymity of those who certify records (only competent authorities could access the data with a formal and justified request).

🤝 A citizen initiative

This project originates from Asoblockchain, a Bolivian association that promotes technological solutions with a civic focus. The app is under development and will be free for all Bolivian men and women committed to democracy.

🚧 Current challenges

We are seeking support to cover:
